It is a good window mount but if they added a detachable mount like on the tripod where you could switch from window mount to tripod and back it would be 100 better.

This ball type window mount by vortex is rock solid and it s simple design allows for multiple angle viewing very quick to acquire target no matter the angle of view a quality built and easy to use product that is backed by an outstanding warranty quick release plate allows rapid switch out from window to vortex summit tripod 5 stars. It was an economical alternative with the quick release base that is compatible with my vortex light weight tri pod for my spotting scope.
